4th National Parkour & Movement Competition & Jam, November 2023
Over the weekend of 25–26 November 2023, Vanarshala hosted the 4th National Parkour & Movement Competition & Jam at the Shala, their training park in Gurugram. It was the second of two editions they ran that year, six months after the 3rd competition in May. Out-of-town participants could arrive and stay from the Friday, and the organisers billed it as a weekend of competition, jams, talks, and staying together on site.
The competition was organised into Speed Run, Skills Challenge, and Style Run categories, each held separately for women and men, alongside a team event called the Vanarsena Team Run. Cash prizes were announced for the categories.
Programme
The entire competition ran on the Saturday, from registrations at eight in the morning to prize distribution in the evening:
- 8:00–9:00 AM: Registrations
- 9:00–10:00 AM: Style Run, men and women (semi-finals)
- 10:15–10:45 AM: Speed Run, women
- 11:00 AM–12:30 PM: Speed Run, men
- 12:45–1:15 PM: Skills Challenge, women
- 2:30–3:00 PM: Style final preparation
- 3:00–4:00 PM: Style Run finals, men and women
- 4:15–5:15 PM: Skills Challenge, men
- 5:30–6:15 PM: Vanarsena
- 6:45 PM: Prize distribution
The Sunday was given over to the jam rather than the competition: open jams from 8:00 to 11:00 AM and again from 3:00 to 6:00 PM, with an hour of Vanar Talks at midday and a farewell at six.

A note on the dates
Vanarshala’s own sources differ on the dates. Their announcement text gives 24–26 November and their Facebook event lists a Friday 24 November start, while the poster reads 25–26 November. We have recorded the weekend, because the published schedule covers only the Saturday and Sunday: the Friday appears to have been arrival and stay for out-of-town participants, with no programme of its own.
