Leonine Parkour, generally called Team Leonine, is a parkour and freerunning team from Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, founded by Mujahid Habib. Habib began copying stunts from Jackie Chan films around the town in 2007 and learned only afterwards that the movement had a name. Friends joined him, and the group took the name Team Leonine roughly a year later. Scroll.in described it in 2014 as the first parkour team in Rampur.

By 2014 the team had about fifteen practitioners, the youngest fourteen and the oldest twenty-seven. They trained on construction sites, where sand broke their falls, in parks, and on the banks of the Kosi river, where soft ground let them work out new movements away from onlookers. Habib moved to Delhi to study architecture at Jamia Millia Islamia, and part of the team’s activity followed: by 2017 Condé Nast Traveller found him training with team members in a disused parking lot in South Delhi. Urfi Khan, a Delhi-born engineering lecturer with a background in kung fu, karate and taekwondo, met Habib in 2010 and was for some years the only member not from Rampur.

Habib won the first parkour competition Red Bull organised in India, held in Mumbai and judged by the Kuwaiti athlete Mohammad Al Attar, and named on the team’s own site as the Red Bull Indus Trial. The two contemporaneous accounts disagree and we have not been able to settle the date. Scroll.in, writing in July 2014, placed it in the preceding November with eight competitors, five of them from Rampur; Man’s World, writing in September 2015, placed it in November 2014 with sixteen competitors, nine from Rampur and two in the top three. Both report Habib winning, and both give the prize as a trip to Greece to watch Red Bull Art of Motion. Al Attar returned in July 2015 to run a workshop in Rampur.

Habib’s YouTube channel carries most of the team’s published video and was still being posted to in 2025, which is the basis for listing the group as active. The team’s own website has not been updated in several years: most of its member profiles are unedited template text, and the roster it gives should be read as historical rather than current. Named on it are Mujahid Habib, Urfi Khan, Hassan Khan, Ehsanul Haque, Aamir Zameer Khan, Mohd. Tanzeel, Atul Yadav, Faraz Khan, Suraj Singh, Zuhaib Khan, Ahsan Khan, Uzair Khan, Gulshan Chaudhary, Atif Khan, and a member listed only as Babloo.
