Key People

ParkourGoa is a parkour and freerunning group in Panjim, Goa. It is the Goa division of Freesouls Parkour, a group founded in Mumbai on 12 June 2011 by Nabeel Merchant, Zeeshan Muhammad, Nirmit Gire and Narayan Pissurlenkar. Pissurlenkar moved to Goa and started the Goa community there; the other three founders scattered, two of them starting a Freesouls community in Dubai. All three of ParkourGoa’s social accounts describe the group in these terms, the Instagram bio most directly, as Goa’s division of Freesouls.

The group has trained at the Don Bosco Oratory, at Miramar in Panjim, and at Anjuna. A tweet from December 2017 has them waiting for a class to begin at Don Bosco, so they taught as well as trained.

Instagram is the group’s main channel. It was still posting in 2022, and the account appears in a training video from August 2024. The blog carries a single post, from 2016. Nothing has been found after August 2024, so the status here is unknown: two years of silence on an Instagram account is not evidence that a group has stopped.
