Key People

Hoop Parkour is a parkour and freerunning gym in Rajkot, founded in 2013 by Vinay Jolapara.

Jolapara came to parkour in 2008 from a background in wushu, yoga, gymnastics and rope mallakhamb. He had been in Mumbai and chose to return to Rajkot, his home town, to teach there rather than stay. Tushar Pandya is recorded as the gym’s second coach. Hoop describes itself as the first parkour gym in Gujarat.

Both the Instagram and Facebook accounts stopped on the same day, 26 March 2025, the last post showing a student working on his parkour. Two platforms falling silent together is better evidence of a genuine pause than either would be alone, but it is not evidence that the gym has closed, so the status here is unknown. The gym’s Google business site has since gone offline, though that reflects Google retiring the product rather than anything about Hoop.

The account is followed by Smoke Traceurs and Team MYOW, which is thin but real evidence that the gym was known to the wider Indian scene.
