Windcatz, or Windcatz Parkour and Freerunning, was a parkour and freerunning team in Kalyan West, in Thane district. It ran what its own video called the only parkour gym with safety equipment in the district, offering classes with a free first session.
Its YouTube channel carries thirty-four videos published between December 2015 and January 2021. An Instagram account existed and has since been deleted.
In 2018 the group taught a parkour workshop at Shivaji Park in Dadar for Switch India, a non-governmental organisation, with more than fifty attendees who were mostly medical students and professionals. Members named in their own videos are Parikshit Mane, described as a student of the group and recorded as setting the fastest time in a national jam semi-final in 2019, and Mihir Gosavi.
The group trained twice with Rookie Indian Parkour, in 2018 and 2019, and the description of the second of those sessions also links to Indian Freerunners. They attended the CHAOS 2019 competition at Chaos Faktory in Bengaluru and trained there in 2018.
Nothing has been found after May 2021, and the group’s Instagram account has been taken down. Neither is proof that it has stopped, so the status here is unknown.
