Pk-Day Mumbai and the National Jam 2010
In September 2010, Parkour Mumbai and its founder NOS hosted one of the earliest large-scale parkour gatherings in India: a national jam that brought traceurs from across the country together in Mumbai, with international guests from the United States.
The event is remembered under two names: Pk-Day Mumbai and the Parkour India National Jam 2010. Parkour Mumbai published a first-hand writeup from NOS’s perspective on parkourmumbai.com. Only the title and introduction survive in the web archive:
A first-hand account of what went down at one of India’s biggest Parkour events that took place in September 2010, with traceurs from all over the country, and some from abroad, in attendance, written from NOS’ perspective.
The full account has not been recovered. If you attended or have a copy, write to us.

Indian traceurs in attendance
A small contingent from Chennai Parkour made the trip to Mumbai:
From Parkour Hyderabad came Vinay Sagar. Shivam Aher travelled from Nasik, at a time when he had not yet formed Parkour Nasik.
Mumbai itself was well represented, with practitioners from NOS’s own classes and from traceurs training independently in the city.
International guests from American Parkour
Members of American Parkour travelled to Mumbai for the jam, including:
- Mark “M2” Toorock
- Michael “Frosti” Zernow
- Justin Ganguly
- Knox Mannino
- Travis Graves
Their visit marked one of the earliest direct connections between the established American parkour scene and the growing Indian community: a thread NOS and Parkour Mumbai would continue to weave through national jams, regional outreach, and international exchange in the years that followed.
What we know from later records
The 2012 National Jam announcement, for an event also hosted by Parkour Mumbai at the Sports Authority of India gym in Kandivali (East), notes that Parkour India members had previously stayed at the SAI guesthouse during the National Jam 2010, confirming the event’s venue and scale.
The 2010 jam predates the better-documented 2012 National Jam and the later national gatherings organised by communities such as Team MYOW. For the pioneering Indian parkour network of the late 2000s and early 2010s, it stands as a landmark moment, even if much of the detail is still waiting to be recovered.
